Integrated Treatment for
Mental Health and Substance Use

When mental health conditions and substance use disorders occur together, treating just one isn’t enough. The San Diego Transformation Center specializes in dual diagnosis treatment that addresses both conditions simultaneously, giving you the comprehensive care needed for lasting recovery. Our integrated approach means one treatment team, one treatment plan, and coordinated care that addresses the complex relationship between mental health and addiction.

Understanding Co-Occurring Disorders

Nearly half of individuals with substance use disorders also experience mental health conditions.

Common combinations include:

Anxiety and benzodiazepine dependence

PTSD and substance use

Bipolar disorder and stimulant use

ADHD and substance use

Personality disorders and addiction

These conditions don't exist in isolation—they interact, trigger, and complicate each other. That's why integrated treatment is essential.
